High quality water

I am a noob but I'm starting to get better at this game. Next thing i want to do is plant higher quality trees, I found high quality soil already, but a really annoying thing is that people claim all water nodes. Why? Why would you want to do that? It's not like many people can't take water from the same node?

taking water decreases its quality unless you take from a well.

people are willing to share well water sometimes if your lucky.
