Question about PvP

Hi guys I am really interested in the game, but I am not liking the PvP aspect of the game so much. I was wondering if there was a private server (or if there was a place to d/l a private server) where PvP/Stealing and/or Perma-death is turned off? Also is it even ok with the developers to do such a thing? (I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be considering the game is free but I figured I should ask.)

Even there's no fee to play it doesn't mean the game is free - it's alpha and all rights are with Seatribe (loftar and jorb) and they decide about the useage:

There is only one server running with one instance ("world") atm - as the server code isn't open source there are no private servers possible.

Don't let yourself be fooled - PVP and criminal acts are an important part of the game but with certain precautions you can play without bothering about. There are different threads that give you hints how to avoid troubles ...
