Will Hafen run alongside Haven and Hearth, or replace it?

I want to know if there will be a world 8 or if this will be the last world and only Hafen will be continued. I don't mean development-wise as I know haven development has been stagnant due to the upcoming release.

There will be no new world for the current version of Haven, for sure -- I consider World 8 to be the release of the next version.

My current thoughts are to let the current server continue running alongside the new for a while until we decide to put it out of its misery (which could happen for a number of reasons), but that's not strictly a promise, mind you.

Unless you guys have completely pranged the new version I can't imagine that enough people will stick around on the old one to bother keeping it up.

I'm assuming Haven's graphics will make it much more demanding. You should also consider that some people won't have good enough computers to play it and will either stick to the old version or quit.

My intentions are, ofc, to play the new version but I'm also relieved that this one will stay around at least initially, I know that the majority are super excited about 'hafen' but there are some who still have concerns - or maybe it is just me, lol - in my ideal world, world 7 would continue for ever, alongside 'hafen'.

I know that's not a reality, but if I could, I'd be quite happy to have the whole world to myself, pls remove your claims though on the way out and leave your gates open, except for Ramones, you had better give me the keys for safe keeping, lol, just in case some wander back over.

Seriously, I do genuinely hope the new haven turns out to be bigger and better because if it isn't, look at what we will have lost.

I wish for this current version of Haven is still up. I've been playing this game for five years now, I suggest it stays up. Same thing that occurred with Salem, have both servers loaded up.

It is going to happen eventually, whether it's because they decide to (to use loftar's words) put it out of its misery or if there just happens to be another data corruption issue and they are forced to wipe it.

Quite frankly I have to agree with Painhertz though, sure perhaps not everyone will move on but I would say a decent portion of anyone left playing Haven in its current state have likely been waiting for either a new world or would just as easily jump ship at the release of Hafen. If those players who continue to play but are just waiting around for something better do leave for Hafen I don't really see how there would be much incentive for anyone else to continue either.

I understand that one may grow an attachment to the current world, its players, their character(s) and so on but old worlds are boring as shit and this one is no exception.

I would much rather them do something that would create an interesting and final way to remember Haven as it previously was because at this point there is no going back. I don't really know what that would entail, maybe generating a new world with less grids so everyone is closer together, affect resource spawning so qualities are high as shit, allow people to try out cool stuff and fuck with things and others. Something like that.
