The myth of the legendary ranger... he wanders the forest hunting the scents of the fallen and betrayed
And has been searching for years for his father's murder but no such luck has fallen into his hands that finding the fiend.

This is the story of the ranger... #1: The beginning
A son and a dad playing in a field with a leather ball this is the setting of the story thus beginning the story of the ranger "dad can we go hunting tomorrow?" The boy says well throwing the ball "if that is what you would like to do tomarrow, I'm all for it" the dad says with a smile than suddenly the dad stops with a catch and looks off into the forest and starts to head to there house "let's go" the dad says with a worried look in his face.

The very next morning they woke up and found a astonishing amount of dead animals every where, the boy turns to his father and says with a scared look "wha.... what happend?" his father just standing there looking at the decaying animal corps with blood all over them and indescribable figures which look to be ripped off other animals and put together.

After a while looking with horror in there eyes the father desires the best plot of action and starts heading back inside "we have to move Jason" and Jason nods with a agreed look they start to put there stuff in rucksacks and boats and than they heard the door start to creek open "Jason hide behind that cupboard quick!" Whispering and alert a shadow figure steps in with what looked like a blood soaked sword "who are you!" The father says with horror in his eyes and what felt like nails in his mouth, the shadow figure steps closer to the father and he has a wicked smile on his face... black cloak, ratty pants, and what looked like a black merchant's robe covered in blood and filth.

The bloody robed swordsman raises his sword chuckling with each savoury moment spent, he lashes his sword at the father instantly cutting his right arm and leg off in a clean sweep " you are no longer a interest to me" the blood soaked robe guy says with a psychopathic look in his eyes, cutting off the father's head after what felt like hours.

The blood soaked cape guy leaves with Jason's father's head still dripping with blood, the by leaves his hiding place behind the cupboards and saw his father mutilated like the animals that where outside "oh... God..." he says crying over his dead father's corp.

After a few hours spent crying over his father's death he leaves with the supply they originally packed to leave the place.

End of part 1.

#2: The road of knowledge
After months of eating off the food he had packed with his father he finds a person fishing at a lake in a boat
"Hello there" Jason says cautious "hello stranger... umm... could I ask you a favor?" He says with a confused look "shore" Jason says curious to figure out what it is " could you help me with this fishing it is taking forever"
The guy in the boat says and Jason face palms himself "oh okay" he says shrugging.

After a few hours of fishing the person the boat says "do you have a village or place to stay?" And Jason just sat there for a few moments and says "I dont" and the guy in the boat says to him "if you want you could join ours if you need to" with that offering Jason looks up with happiness in his eyes and says with a smile "I would like to be in a village that will help me... you see... my father he... died recently by someone with a blood soaked merchant robe" the guy in the boat suddenly switches the topic like he was avoiding it "my name is Ben what is yours" and Jason told him of his name and his past than they head to the village.

At the village he met a few other people which where nice and he told them of his story "... and that is how I got here" he finishes well the others look at him in shock but it also looked like they where hiding something and they started telling him there names John a blacksmith who looks almost as strong as a bear, Chris a city protecter and lawspeaker, Jessica a clother, farmer and baker, and Ben as the Fisher, Hunter and curiosity finder.

In just a few days they where all working together with the new Addition of Jason and as they worked together Jason became stronger, faster, and more of a warrior and in throes days of hunting, training and other work that had gained the knowledge to fight animals in style and after a few more weeks he had became the best Hunter that village has ever seen, the one thing that was in his head was to train to avenge his father's death and to be justice to the world.

After a few normal days of training and hunting he gathers everyone in the town center for a meeting "everyone I need to tell you this so I can get it out of my way" Jason says "I need help with avenging my father's death and to bring justice to what happend" the others start whispering to each other like they where voting and Chris says to Jason "you have been trading and hunting fairly well and I would hate to become a wall in your path but we need you here" instantly shooting down Jason's needs he turned and went back into his house.

There seemed something off about this village whenever Jason asked the same question but he knew why there feared the words he was saying because they knew something that Jason didn't and that bothered him to a point of sneaking around at night checking for clues on what was going on and why they where avoiding his questions like it had the plague but one night while looking through Chris's house he found a little seem under the cabinet that looked like a passageway to something Jason looked around as he suddenly started pushing the cabinet out of place he had found a doorway to a underground area, he starts heading down but than hears Chris walking around Jason quickly jumps out of the doorway and pushes the cabinet back into place then runs out as quick as possible.

The next day he couldn't stop thing what may be down in there which made him ever more compelled to explore it but Jason knew he had to wait till he had a clear chance to do it.

End part 2

#3: The door to new knowledge
Today everyone left to hunt and forage to waste time and was the perfect chance to explore that doorway under the cabinet and Jason starts heading to it as soon as he could.

When he entered the house it seemed different the air seemed a little thick and musty, Jason moves the cabinet and stands there for a few minutes than opens it and peaks in, stone walls, cupboards, and what looked like a alter for something, exploring more he finds very sickening things in the cupboards, hearts, guts, and blood.

As soon as he was done looking thought the cupboards he looks at the alter closely and find that it has bones and blood all over it like a sacrifice alter of some sort... he touched it to find out if it was real blood and something made a [CA-CLUNK], than a wall panel fell away revealing skulls lining a long hallway.

He had fear to turn around and leave without going further but he wanted the truth of what is going on at this place and takes a torch off the wall and walks down the long hall wondering what will be down here in dirt and skulls.

After a few minutes he sees a light at the end of the hallway with a few shadowy looking statues and closer the look more like disfigured corps put together in a way that most people would vomit at on sight and Jason notices a book in the very middle, it looked to be dark red with blood stains and what looked like hair.

Jason opened the book and started reading it was mostly normal but there was one part that stood out most of all in the book "the blood will flow, the guts will twist and the skin will tighten for the end is near under your nose" he didn't know the meaning behind it but it sounded almost sinister and he copays the rest down on a parchment as much as he could.

Jason quickly back tracks through the hallway and exits it and closes the alter lever by touching it again he noticed the thick musty air stopped and oddly enough it felt calming which made him feel like something was watching his back and he exits through the doorway and at the top of the doorway he finds what startled him most of all they where back from hunting and foraging.

As he fully emerged from the doorway in the floor and faces his friends he asked what anyone would at his point "what the hell is all of this?" And with that being said he gets hit over the head with something blunt and falls into a sleep.

End of part 3

#4: The field of unknown
As he woke up he couldn't believe his eyes, he was still alive but in a place he has never seen before, trees over populating the area and grass every where Jason looks, he starts walking for awhile and finds nothing at all and desires to make camp for tonight.

As he trays to remember his unconscious state of mind all he could remember was being dragged off by someone.

As he lays on the ground wondering what happened and what Jason did to make them so hostile he must of stumbled upon something others where not suppose to know of.

That night he had a hard time sleeping from mostly hunger and knowing hardly anything about what happened as he fell asleep under the stars in the grass.

The very next morning he desires the put the past in the past and start doing things himself, he starts hunting, fishing, and foraging so stuff to cook and improve his camp site and as he made it to a river which felt like ever he found a nice fishing area with lots of fish to catch.

After a few hours he heads back to his camp site to make some new adjustments to the camp to make it a little more like home.

As he fell asleep that night with fish to eat that night he thought that it wasn't so bad that he got dragged off to no where but it still boggled his mind what was going on.

End part 4

#5: easter eggs of fun

After his days of building his fort, he had almost all he needed to live in solitude. He didn't like the idea of people being so cruel, the day came almost to soon, his crops suffered from famine and his animals where all dead or half dead.

There was only one option of replenishing his food and feeding his half dead animals he needed to get water for his crops from a river and collect food for himself and the animals, so after some time of collecting stuff to head out to get the required stuff for the animals.

He then set out with a pack of a empty flask and a bunch of tools to find a place with a river to collect water and some type of food. He walked for a good long while and came upon a giant lake with no splitting off rivers which he took to his likening and gathered enough water to bring back, he also saw bunny and chickens and a few deer.

So you could imagine he just leaped at the opportunity of fresh meat to eat over a fire, as he hunted the bunny and chickens the deer gave almost a peaceful look at him, not running, didn't care he was there.

After a hour of catching bunnys and chickens he desires this is enough for a good week or two, so he set up a fire and cooked his fresh bunnys and chickens "I wish all places where this peaceful" he thought to himself as he looked at the lake in the night sky, he fell asleep that night near the beautiful lake with the glow of the moon above it.

That night all he could hear was the crickets and owls.

As he awoke he froze, he was looking at a man near the lake with a few rucksacks and a cape. Jason slowly got up with his back next to him that he picked up, there was a loud sound and the guy with the rucksacks dropped dead.

Jason then hide in a near by bush and hear some other loud noises "we got another one trying to take from our lake" a big man with a red beard and black cloths says walking into Jason's view "good this lake is our lake and only our lake" a dark sinister voice, the other guy who walked into Jason's sight was almost frightening more than the first, it was one of the guys from the village he got discarded from, although he couldn't tell exactly who but he knew his voice from any where.

He almost wanted to jump out of the bush because it was one of his best friends but his instinct told him to sit tight, he then notice a third person and he came from the shadow like a demon and his robe soaked in blood.

He didn't notice him till it was to late the two who killed the person that was gathering stuff along the lake got both there heads cut off by the person in the blood soaked robe. Jason remembered almost to well the sight of him as he hide further into the bushes to hide better.

The person leaves a few minutes later after the body's have been ripped apart and mutilated.

Jason walks over slowly grieving at the lose of a friend he once knew... He notice his face it was Chris and some other guy he didn't know, he sat there a while just staring at Chris's likely face. After a few minute he decided to take what he could find on them and leave.

They where not carrying much but a few deer stakes and a few other tools but he could make use of them either way, as he reached for the rucksacks he noticed movement... He jolted away instantly think it was something the blood soaked robe guy left behind to kill him, but a little thing poked its head out almost as cute as a puppy, and had fluffy fur, it then looked at the mutilated corps of the guy with the rucksacks and burst into tears.

The Animal:

Jason with a sad look in his eyes notices a name tag on a makeshift necklace "borka" Jason then moves in closer, noticing a note but not just any note it seemed to be the guy with the rucksacks last will :

Dear reader
I hope to all who find this to not think of my death as the end but as a beginning if you are reading this please take care of my pet borka he is the only thing I care about and love more then life, if you do take care of my pet thank you so much that will put my soul at ease knowing borka is safe.

From Alexander m. Patterson

As Jason got closer to borka, borka turned from his master Alexander and gave the most saddest look anyone or anything could give, Jason then picked up borka and borka kept crying in the palm of Jason hand curled up in a ball weeping.

Jason noticed anything letter but this one was blood drenched and looked liked it was made from human skin, Jason puts borka into the new rucksacks he took from Alexander's corps and reads the note left behind.

Dear Jason

I watched you grow from a child to a adult and you are never going to get vengeance for your father's death.

There is one name I will give you a hint on what my name is and that will get from me do with it is your own doing.

From T

As he puts the note in one of the rucksacks his face turns pale and he starts to run, before long he reaches his house, tired and famished, he sets down his rucksacks and brings out borka, as borka wanders about the cabin Jason reads the note over and over again getting more pale each time he reads it.

After awhile he puts the note under his bed and pulls out some meat and seeds and a leaf that was at the bottom of the rucksack borka instantly jumps at it and eats it "I guess your hungry too" Jason says and reaches in for more to give him.

That night Jason couldn't sleep, his heart pounding, his new companion he found, and losing a friend that died.

After awhile of worrying he falls asleep with borka sleeping on one of the rucksacks that he put on the floor.

End of part 5

#6: The field of white
Jason woke up that morning to notice borka the animal he had found from Alexander's rucksacks had eaten all the food that the rucksack had in it, he had notice not a lot of leaves where leftover, picking up the bag he noticed a secret pocket inside the.rucksack while looking for more food for borka, it was a map of a area with a marking and a name under it called "The field of white", as Jason studied it he noticed that it wasn't to far from where he set up base, as he studied it more he saw a wall on the map, nothing planted, no crops plowed, nothing, he then resides to go yet another adventure.

Packing up food, water, and his new found buddy borka he sets out to the cords which where written on the bottom left corner, as he traveled there he found some berries and some small animals for extra food he mite need later, so he hunts for a few minutes and gathers some wild berries and keeps heading to the cords on the map.

As he approached the area called "The field of white" he noticed the land was full of sheep and goats and grass, his jaw dropped in awe to find such a huge and well maintained place full of sheep and goats, he noticed a tree in the middle of the huge grassland with a few random baskets under it.

The baskets where old and had a fruitful smell to them, looking inside them they where full of leaves and eggs, this must of been where borka was born or was hatched Jason thought to himself collecting some leaves into a bag.

As he turned around to leave he noticed a pure white figure, almost to bright to look at. Jason stands still as the white figure passes, it's a white deer Jason says to himself with a look of awe, the deer left after a few hours of grazing the grasslands.

Jason noticed it was getting late and decided to back track to his house, on the why everything seemed quite but peaceful which was a great pleasure to bathe in till he noticed once his house came into view, a black figure running from his house.

Alerted by the figure Jason hides behind a tree while the figure passes.

As he approached his house he noticed everything was out of place and had been thrown around "was it T?" Jason said to himself, he looked everywhere but there was no sign of a letter.

He went to sleep that night after he fed borka and ate some berries he got on the way to "The field of white".

End of part 6

#7: The glimmering cave
The days just blended together for him, day after day of harvesting and hunting, he decided to find something new to do besides the things he was doing know.

He knew of a cave not far from where he lived, no one seemed to ever go in it, the rumor of trolls infesting the cave made people stay clear of it, runestones where outside giving that exact warning.

Although Jason was willing to explore it he never really knew if the runestones where real or not.

Jason decides to go in even after the warning it gave him.

Pitch black and no light what so ever he lights a torch on fire and walks around a bit, finding nothing but a few iron and copper nodes. Suddenly he notices a wall in front of his face, a brick wall but it looked older than a real wall, it had vines and moss growing on it.

As Jason explores to find a entrance to the moss covered wall he stumbles upon a few runestones.

One: turn back this is a troll maze!
Two: trolls...everywhere...

Not to far from that spot he notices a entry place with skeletons scattered everywhere, as Jason looks closer he finds fresh blood inside the walls.

Jason backs up with a sudden chill down his spine and notices a noise coming from inside, he then notices something or someone was behind him "get out of my way" as the person knocks Jason down and goes into the maze with a large axe.

Jason gets up and hears a noise of bones breaking, then yells of pain as the bone breaking stops.

Jason rushes out of the cave thinking the worst that has happens to the person that bumped into him, running away as fast as he could, he finds the place he entered from and exited the nightmares which came from the cave.

As Jason arrived back home his heart was still pounding, he pulled out a piece of parchment and wrote down what had happend. He knew something of value must of been in there, something more valuable than a battle axe, which Jason was more than excited to explore it but also had a fear for it as well.

Jason rested that night fairly well considering what had happend.

End of part 7.
#8: The unknown sword
Jason woke up that day the same as everyday, Jason knew there was something in that cave which was of high value due to all the skeletons and that one person with the battle axe who bumped into him.

Jason decided to do the foolish thing and try going back to the place where that guy bumped into him which took a few hours for him to get to this time due to the cold weather.

When Jason entered the cave he sensed something different, something that seemed off about the wall.

As Jason starts to enter the moss covered wall he notices the corps of the person who bumped into him which wasn't far from the gate, as he starts to walk around the skeleton corps he saw a map with the layout of the moss wall place, it was a maze of corridors and traps and deadly monsters.

Jason studied the map very closely and noticed a bunch of different colored tiles in the center of the map.

Jason starts to head in the direction of the right path which was hard for him to see two feet in front of him which made things very difficult because of the use of only a torch.

Throughout the tunnel corps of fallen people and normal adventures died while exploring it.

At a spit off in the maze he could see someone sitting in place curled up and looked like they where in shock from something that happened recently.

Further into the maze he found fragments of gear which stretched from low quality to the highest he has ever seen, which was a bad sign that something very horrible and insanely deadly awaited him further into the maze.

When Jason reached the end of the maze which led to the center room he noticed nothing had happened to him this whole time, Jason not realising what had happened, a giant rock fell down and blocked the exit out of the center of the map.

As Jason moved further into the middle of the room he saw something on a stone table, it was a type of sword but he had never seen anything ever like it.

The sword pulsed when Jason got closer, Jason looks around at his surroundings before lifting the sword off the table.

The wall fell away when the sword was lifted revealing a giant troll, startled Jason runs for a corner to lure it away from the new exit, but it didn't move.

Jason realised he still had the weird pulsating sword which he pulled out hopping for the worst, death or success, as he ran at the giant troll the troll starts running at Jason.

As Jason's final thoughts go through his mind all he could think of is the sudden death he was locked in as he is running at the troll with all his will, as he approaches the troll he also remembers what he is fighting for and what will be missed if he dies, his new pet, his crops, his house, he kept thinking of something to fight for.

End of part 8.

Phinix is like one of those people that get in a bad wreck and like half of their skull caves in and they aren't really a vegetable but on the other hand that candle isn't exactly burning as bright anymore? Either that or he's like 10 years old.

This is good, but could use some proofreading. Part of me wants to congratulate you on impressive content, and the other part wants to go all English teacher and whip out a red pen. Comes with being a grammar nazi.

Edit: Can I? I used to play unofficial editor for my imaginative friends.
