Thoughts on animal activists

I saw a video recently and I thought I would share it. It's a man standing up against the animal rights activists. It's proof that there are heroes out there. Heroes who are bold enough to stand against tyrants that think they can oppress us with their own morallity. What divine right do animal activists have to tell us what we should and shouldn't do? This man in the video had his name smeared, because he dared speak out against the animal rights bullys, and it makes me sick.

TechXknight bugger off, this is a serious topic. You don't get to remove a thread just because you don't like the poster, and I'm certain Jorb would agree with me on that point.

Reason: Don't remake troll topics that have been removed.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I say let the crazy people stand on the street corner and make a fool of themselves. The problem is when the sane people start listening to the crazy people and taking them seriously. :?

And what is so crazy about it? If you eat meat and think we shouldn't kill animals, then you are the crazy one.

IMO people who don't have firsthand experience with killing animals shouldn't eat them. I haven't personally killed anything bigger than a fish, but I did hold down lots of pigs while my Dad slaughtered them. Knowing where meat comes from makes you appreciate it more, so people who've only seen it after it's cut up and packaged are more likely to waste it and thus lead to higher demand and more animal deaths. Hell, I think we should have slaughter and butchering of small animals (chickens, rabbits etc.) as a part of the standard home economics curriculum.

I kind of agree, but I also haven't killed anything bigger than, indeed, fish, myself.

I'd love to try, though! Getting a hunting/firearms license has been on my todo list for a long while.

I quite agree. People would quit being so squeamish about where their food comes from.

Hell, I think we should have slaughter and butchering of small animals (chickens, rabbits etc.) as a part of the standard home economics curriculum.

Two words--Health Department. Some locations can't do this for that reason (NY City comes to mind if I recall right). Others can as long as they aren't causing health hazards. Other places just don't care

Wow, looks like someone is pulling words out of their ass, as that certainly didn't come out of my mouth.

Crazy about what? Animal rights activists? Those that can't ignore the crazy talk and start taking it seriously? Those that go and do crazy shit in protest? All of the above?

You said "let the crazy people stand on the street corner and make a fool of themselves" Unless you were referring to techxknight, it looked like you were saying I am crazy.
If I assume you were saying my idea is crazy, that means you are against the idea, so then I refute that by saying "And what is so crazy about it? If you eat meat and think we shouldn't kill animals, then you are the crazy one."

The fallacy in your argument is that you are correlating both hypocrisy and being crazy. There are many sane people who are hypocritical.
