Ranged Combat

Postby Linkpwns » Sun May 03, 2015 2:07 am

I know ranged combat in PvP is REALLY situational, and to some useless. But I'm curios if anyone has any pictures, videos, or stories of when ranged combat was usefull/funny or just want to share. ETC you get the deal.

Also does anyone know about how much MM it would take to hit a moving player with a ranger bow? Has it ever been achieved? What about a normal bow?

Only good for sniping people not paying attention over walls.

Think this is one of the few times ranged combat actually happened

I got a fight with a guy back in W3 with my hunter. Had a q303 sling and the MM to match it plus armour. He had no armour. Yeah, it was pretty one-sided (And he thought he was just going to kill a newbie hunter with a toga on)

Hitting moving player mostly comes down to spamming arrows at them, it's fairly hard even for a high MM character to get accurate shots on an actual moving player. Well, unless he's being stupid and not moving. I also KO'd a robber in W5 because he was taunting us and didn't see me aiming at him. Another protip: move around a bit to make sure they're not aiming at you.

On actual large scales though, almost everyone will use melee because it's a much more reliable way to kill someone and overall can still be trained easily.
