Banditry and raiding ?

Postby Burndayrazz » Sun May 17, 2015 12:05 pm

. I got the idea of finally killing some people when a village started cutting my high quality trees down  . I have 3 other friends in my group and all of us have cutthroat cuirasses and bear capes and bear talismans but no weapons other then slings ( which are of pretty high quality ) . But the village they pretty big we saw about 4 houses and maybe there are even more further from the river, when we were boating along the river searching for bears we saw that they have a mineshaft .

All of us have pretty high skill in perception and marksmanship and we deal about 60-80 damage with a really aimed shot , what are the chances of killing of some people with possibly metal weapons and maybe even armor ?

None.

Q10 Bronze Plate ignores the first 100 damage that you do to it completely and will take the next 100 points of damage to its own health. So to deal damage to a target in even trash quality armor you'll need to do at least 201 points of damage. You also will not be able to hit a moving target. If they move/flee/attack you then your slings will be meaningless. This is also assuming they're just wearing Bronze Plate. They can also be wearing helmets and boots for even more defense.

tl;dr

I know it's a silly and unusual way of approaching in Haven, but have you tried to maybe... contact them via runestone and ask them to leave your trees alone?
You should not leave your high q trees outside your palisade in the first place. ):

You'll have to either go at them with swords or a ranger's bow.

Find the village name and challenge their LS to a 1v1, then you can just run from him forever and hope he died to starving before you do.
It's the best chance you've got.

Also I hope you didn't waste low quality hard leather on CTCs, that stuff is better used for tsacks and mine shafts.

I would cry if this was the case.
As a hermit, that stuff can be a pain in the ass.
Hope you have a great day
