A Trip around the local area....

Today I felt like doing something different...

I harvested the Wheat for the Tutorial and then went for a walkabout. And i don't mean a normal walk. I started at 10pm and only just finished my trip at 11:30pm. It was long and water hugging (Fucking Boars) and was the first time I ever used the Crime acts (to escape a boar, sorry whomever you are that has a ton of tress Scents, boar caught me outside and your place was between me and the water...)

I found the location of a few people that have stopped by and said hello and gave a hand at Novigard. And a few Newb spots that seem half abandoned. One had tons of Onions growing, having a check they were all <10Q so lucky they hadn't invested points into Farming...

It was fun to spend this time looking around, I did it for no other reason except for a walkabout. And in Australia, That's all you do when you take one. Just walk and enjoy what you see. Leave a Message for those you know on your way past, and just see how far you can go on so much food...

Luckily the onions and a mul tree that wasn't claimed helped me keep going on further. I finally finished the walk at a river's end in the middle of a swamp. There I discovered a newb had set up shop there but it had become abandoned I believe, level 7 boars that one hit you might have scared him away perhaps. But there I found 2 boats. The boar had chased me to the boat so I chose to take a faster route home then what I took before...

It was a thrilling experience. And I recommended that if you live out where there are few people, take a walkabout today. Don't go hunting. Eat only if you find the food itself, like trees or abandoned farms. Learn the area and become acquainted to it...

The thing that made it funny as all hell was a friend who was talking about his luck in finding chickens, I think that when i logged off he had found around 70 in the hour and half that I took to walk. Kinda funny to hear a guy choking his chickens then stuffing them into his cupboard. Filled one he said. Lucky bum...

Well its late and I have to go to bed. So night peoples. Next walkabout will be northwards of Novigard instead of south west. Laters...

Sounds like a nice trip! I saw your stone message too, but since stones are getting sparse in our area I suggest using our newly constructed mail box with parchments instead! Much more renewable source of messaging

I've also recently been around pretty much the same area, as I mapped out the terrain partially for fun and partially to get an overview of the area. It's sad to see all those deserted homes, however...

Did you find the boats on opposite sides of the river with a quite huge abandonned carrot farm? Then you have just stole our boat but it's okay, we parked them there and where way to lazy to bring them back to our settlement because we really don't need them.

Nah this was a boat at a compleatly abandoned area. I mean there wasn't even a Hearthfire or anything constructed other then the cabin. It was lets see. South from Novigard following the river, around the lake and then following the southwest river that curled up along itself into a large Lime Green Marsh...
