Pictures of our towns

Postby burgingham » Wed Dec 16, 2009 11:48 pm

Some of you might already have noticed us searching for someone to put together a picture of our wonderful town. So, here it is now. It tells you the secret about our power. It is all about economy, infrastructure and above all: planning.

This thread is there to encourage you to brag with your own towns and give people who just have started the game a feeling of what they could achieve.

If you don't have the skills or the patience to make a picture, ask seizure. He did a great job for us as you can see in the following:

This is just a small version. If you want to have the big one just follow this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?nd1idtmyuth

Oh btw the grassland was mudflats before, just in case you are wondering.

I am still amazed at the size and layout of your town. So clean, so pretty.

I too would like to see more towns mapped in this fashion. Seeing the fruits of your labor sure is nice.

If anyone wants their town mapped, ask... The bigger the town, the more my pockets will need to be filled.

You need more decorative flowers. Here's an example of my own work:

If you're not familiar with DF, it's a dead fisherdwarf.

But yeah, real cool looking town. I didn't know you had so many mansions.

I need some time for planning. Any particular themes you're interested in?

And I can only provide blueprints, you'll have to do the actual planting.

Dunno about payment, though. Whatever you think is fair is fine. I like designing decorations (not interior, mind you ;)), so it's not like I need much tangible enticement.

I never realized you could duel wield weapons! How does that work? add the base damages? just use the stronger one? I'm sure it doesn't make you do double damage.
I once dreamt of crafting beautiful thane's rings... then I discovered Big Bear Bangers. Now I smash beautiful things.

A wizards staff, given to him by lofjorb for all the inconveniences he caused him during the last weeks. Most powerful weapon in the game....just kidding, it doesn't do anything besides looking cool.

It does not do anything, just for looking cool I guess. Theme of the picture: Look stupid!
