Novel block and plank storage

If you have a load of planks and blocks filling up all your storage space then I have a suggestion for you. Start building another house and you can fill it with 100 planks and 50 blocks, they take up very little space for what they hold and you can remove the boards/planks the reverse of how you put them in.

There are two caveats however. Firstly you want to avoid clicking build or destroy otherwise you'll atom smash all your lovely wood and secondly you'll want to build it in a secure location to avoid other people doing this. The second little caveat there isn't too bad though as they look like everything else until built.

You can do the same with a number of part built structures to store different objects if you desire and you waste no materials on the storage this way.

It's not an exploit honest ;).

Hehe I don't use this technique myself or at least haven't deliberately, I did have a half built house for a while though and I noticed how much stuff I could fit into a small space and saw some potential. You are right though its best to store trees as the big logs.

Of course, when there's something you only need one board for, and you make six...

Yes, but those are full, too! I mean, I have an unused chest in my house now (making a total of six chests), but... eh.

I like Vattic's storage idea. A LOT. I don't know about anybody else, but storing lumber is a must to keep production up in a village that goes through chests and coal like candy!
