Novigard Tutorial Fields Stolen???

I come back after a week of waiting for the newest Development and I come to a shocking discovery...
The Wheat and Hemp Fields, as well as the Flax and Pumpkins growing in the old Newb Donation Zone had been Pillaged. All of it. Each Crop is gone and this was no small amount of Crops. This was a large Field. I have luck to know that I had placed some under Village Influence but this was something that disappointed me...

Scratch that. Anything that wasn't sitting in the Village aura that had use. Has been taken...
A shame that some do this...

To be honest, in an unclaimed newbie area in which alts and griefers can enter at any time, things like this are BOUND to happen. Your best bet is to guard it or keep it all under village possession and only let certain people have access to it

I know...
Just wish there was a way for A Village Aura to allow newbs or such things without having to be on to allow them to join the village...

The main reason I am disappointed is that the fact that Novigard has been notified as a Tutorial area and such yet some people are getting kicks from emptying it. Its a good thing I asked Potjeh to Close the Charterstone while I was building it else other Newbs would be going 'WTF theres nothing here...'...

Well, in the current state of this game, your only solution against these thieves is to guard and keep a sharp eye on Novigrad. Approach anyone who enters - target anyone who acts suspicious. It sounds opressive and unfriendly, but right now it's so easy for a high-level griefer (I'm not calling names) to make an alt, disguise as a newbie, port into Novigrad and loot everything not pinned down with a stake. It's sad, but it's how griefers get their fun.

Yeah well I don't want to bother much with the Tutorial after I am done with it. Finish it and move on if anything...
Oh well might as well rebuild it now. Thanks to whom ever donated all that Hemp and Wheat in the past...

Spawn points are always greif stripped of resources. It's half griefing and half training for alt abuse.

Those two things are completely different. Griefing is being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole, while the other is being an asshole because you don't care about other people. The main difference is that you're not 'trying' to hurt others, you just don't care if you do.

Alternatively, you can live near by, and maintain a garden on and off claim, and just be nice to any new players you see rather than dumping a heap of resources out in the middle of no-where and complaining when people take/use them...

Ok, maybe that is a little harsher than I intended, but yeah, there's no need for a paranoid "eternal vigilance" stance, and, as has been said many, many, many times, a post condemning the actions of griefers is counter productive... They're not doing it to be celebrated and they tend to get bored quicker if you ignore them.
