Merry x-mas, see you in the new year

Postby theTrav » Sat Dec 19, 2009 8:08 pm

Hey, I almost missed this post, it's been a crazy week.

I'm off on holiday for the next two weeks and will be largely without internet and therefore without H&H.

Hope you all have a merry Christmas and happy new year.

Please don't burn Brodgar to the ground while I'm gone and be nice to the new players ;)

AN atheist is the first one to make a religious greeting....such irony.

Instead of going the errand of the catholic church and insisting that the Yule celebration is a Christian tradition, please consider it a continuation of the ancient Germanic tradition of celebrating the winter solstice. ;)

Happy darkest-day-of-the-year to all of you who don't live down under, and midsummer greetings to those who do. :)

Heh, I'm all to aware of how the catholic church ripped every single one of its holidays from Pagan traditional astrological celebrations. Hence why I said the non-specific 'religious.'

"NO YOU ARE ALL WRONG!! THERE
IS NO GOD" from a simple "Merry

Well, considering christianity butchered the meaning of the winter solstice. It's more like the chruch ruined the holiday than pagans ruining christmas.

Furthermore, noone in this thread said 'there is no God' nor did anyone accuse anyone else of 'being wrong'. I think you're a bit sensitive.

Anyway, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, STAN SMITH!
