When is it appropriate to ask for claims to be removed?

This topic is mostly a question for the admins but feel free to post your opinions.

Now that the admin controls have been updated so that they/you can manage other peoples claims when is it appropriate to request the removal or modification claims?

I only ask because a village that is local to me has had its mine claimed and people are forced to relocate. It bothers me that public mines can be shut down like this and I think its fair to request removal of claims of this kind. Of course requests should be dealt with on an individual basis.

Jorb answered has my PM: "At the moment it is not possible for us to delete claims even using our administration tools. We will develop tomorrow, however, and this situation will be addressed. Expect some fun stuff within a day or so.
