Foxes/Bear SHP?

Do foxes and bears and other animals have regenerating soft HP like players? As in, if you stop shooting a bear for a while, will it regenerate to full health?
i guess they never miss huh

I don't think they regenerate very fast, though. Today I shot a full quiver of arrows at a boar, and it didn't go down (marksmanship 17). So I went over to a boulder, chipped ten rocks from it (and you know how long that takes without a pick), gathered ten branches, made ten arrows and proceeded to kill it in five shots, three of which actually hit the boar.

Yeah but a boar doesn't regenerate in 5 minutes. If it does at all.

That's good enough logic when you yourself don't bounce back a whole lot of SHP in five minutes.

I had punched out a fox for a while but I lost the fight since my SHP was absurdly low. It wandered off and so did I.
I can't remember how long it was, but at some point I found that fox again and killed it in one single punch. So I don't think foxes regenerate any SHP at all, because I recall having much higher SHP that time around.

It makes sense they don't regenerate, because deers have a healing ability.
