Milaha the Bounty Hunter

Postby Milaha » Sun Jun 14, 2009 4:13 pm

Ok, I am officially announcing my services as a bounty hunter. I will be accepting payment in the form of food, steel, and (for now at least) cloth.

Prices are still up for negotiation, if you are interested in hiring me you can PM me here for now. I plan to find a more rapid notification option but for now just PM me and I will check it as often as I am able.

I would not mind if you would hang around the tristate of clayshire, laktown and leperbunny. :)
The 3 of us can effort it to hire you when we need you and provide you with shelter.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

I am staying in mordor for the time being in order to continue increasing my skills, once I have what I feel is an acceptable level of exploration and stealth I may consider your offer to take up residence though.

Just a few more quick notes that I forgot to put up.

The person who hires me will of course remain anonymous unless they indicate otherwise. The idea here is that I take on the risk, which does not work very well if they know you hired me :D

All payments will be due upon the completion of the job, not before. If you are paying in food I may ask for a unit or two in advance to eat while I hunt, but that would be it.

Murder will of course cost more than simple theft recovery or tracking down and identifying the perpetrator due to the increased risk to myself.

Currently I am most interested in INT food and cloth. Bear meat is unlikely to be an accepted form of payment any time in the near future as I have a rather large store of it.

If someone summons Milaha for a tussle while his owner operator is asleep then there's absolutely every possibility that he'd go down. There is always a risk.

With enough time in theory even a newbie could take me down, SHP regens very slowly. I have taken some basic precautions against newbie retaliation of course. I am not going to quote skills, for good reason, but my stealth is up there pretty good now. So you would need a considerable LP investment before you could find my markers and retaliate (I hope).

Do we know what sort of model Loftar has used for the stealth vs exploration check? It could easily be diminishing returns which never quite get you a 100% guarantee of evading detection...

I'm certainly not going to be trying anything, but I reckon there still maybe a chance there that a newbie could get lucky.

I think it's a pretty slim chance though, so hopefully the crim's will take note that Milaha is on the prowl and simply opt out of committing crimes

Just to provide a quick update, I have traded for the cloth I needed. The preferred form of payment is now INT food (most likely simply fish). Other food and steel is also of course accepted.

Its true that you cant defend yourself when summoned, but it would take a really high combat score even to hit, wouldnt it?
And stamina runs out, so you couldnt just do it forever. I guess my lack of p2p combat experience leaves me uncertain about how it all works.

Milaha's pretty much H&H's Demigod of the woods at this point.

You don't pick a fight with him or his friends. OR HE WILL MESS YOU UP. Ehehehe.
[02:31] <WorkerDrone> Kinky.
[02:31] <Malicus> Actually, it's more like it destroyed his pants.
[02:31] <WorkerDrone> Even more kinky.
[02:32] <Malicus> Yes.
