All Read - Forest Settlements

People, it is one thing to build within a forest, it is another thing entirely to set up a claim in a forest, You see. Currently the terrain is static, at least in terms of Forest/Grassland/Swamp Settings. Specific creatures spawn in specific areas, and boars/bears/deer only spawn in forested areas, But they will never spawn on claimed land.

This means that not only is it annoying while hunting to find a whole city, but also inconsiderate and in ways, offensive, It hurts everyone not just you. It harms all who would hunt.

So please, if you must do so, Build a settlement at the edge of a forest.

Hurrr wut? Which settlements are you talking about? Also, take a look at the map, there are plenty of forests out there. ;)

I'm going to claim the whole of the giant forest, and you greedy archers better not be caught poaching KING TRAV'S BOAR!!! Or I'll hire the new bounty hunter to come after you ;)

King Trav will not HAVE any boar if he claims the whole forest. And that is the entire point.

As much as I dislike privatization of resources like this, we really have to remain open-minded about how people play the game. Certainly, one should avoid capturing all of a forest or such, but it's not too bad for someone to take a corner of forest out in the wilderness for their own.

I didn't know they did stop animal spawns as I'm fairly sure I've had rats spawn inside my claim, they could have walked there of course.

If claiming land in forests does stop spawns then I do agree that it should be avoided otherwise boar will get rarer and rarer.
