Sooo... Grinding?

I hate theme park wow clones MMOs. you grind the same shit over and over, i get tired of that really quick, also, there's the thing where a guy at level 10 owns a guy at 5 level without any hope of winning, merely because he was playing the game more then the low level guy. that just takes the wind out of my sails.

H&H is not your common MMO but apparently its still all around grind. In battle, the guy with higher attack skill and higher Q equipment wins, no questions asked. Its not only frustrating for new players who lose all hope of ever competing that guy, but its also not very realistic (this game tries to be realistic?). Sure a better equipped and more skilled warrior will probably own some random guy with a stick, but shit in our world can turn around and the stick dude still have SOME really small chance of winning.
Also, the current q system makes it possible for 1 sword to deal 10 times the damage of another, weird..

So im thinking these can be made better with some action battle system, where player skill matters more and grinding matters less.

Interestingly enough precisely the thing we're working on.
"The psychological trials of dwellers in the last times will be equal to the physical trials of the martyrs. In order to face these trials we must be living in a different world."

You would need a q1000 sword to do 10 times as much damage as a q10 sword. I doubt anyone has one of those.

Glad to hear jorb :D

Definition of MMO is "Massively Multiplayer Online", no grinding there. Even if all games out there have grinding it doesn't have to be that way. I want to play a living world where my stuff stay more then a round long and that i have a chance to make a difference without having to be the first guy playing the game and grind it for every free time i have.

''Your stuff'' How do you plan on getting that stuff? Some kind of super shop when you start? Where you can take everything without paying for it?
No, you work for it.

Oh, and educate yourself on RPGs; MMORPG.
Stats dont magically appear. Again, you gotta work for it.

Grinding is a part of real life. I was just born and i have nothing, that guy here is 30 years around here more then me and he got a car and a house, and he'll probably own my ass in a fight. thats life. but when i turn 20, i may be smarter then him and have made more money by then, or i may have the opportunity to stab him in the back when he is not ready, regardless of him "grinding" more.
