Bears LP

Is it just me or do bears only give 1/10th the LP they used to give?... I just killed 3 lvl 7+ bears and barely got 1k exp from them with 300% learning ability.

This kind of sucks for me because I just started hunting them a couple days ago..

They have been nerfed for LPs until pathfinding is in place. I'm not entirely sure that it is a good idea, but loftar insisted.

I understand the reasoning behind this but for me it just seems like the leap to the people who have been hunting bears for a while just got a lot bigger. Maybe that's part of the point?

I agree that this is a far from optimal solution. We really need to improve on the creature AI, but there are just so many things that need doing right now that it is hard to prioritize.

It just hurts a bit to see those beasts go down for massive exp and loot without any risk to the people who take them down.

I think it is right that they have lower LP, the leap of LP one got when they could kill bears was a bit too much.

No, it's not an optimal solution, but it's a pretty darn good one for the time being
and that's why I convinced Loftar to change it. Perhaps an even better solution
would have been to increase their hp tenfold?

It is like Jorb said, people now go and hunt them like they were nothing and gain great
benefits from it. This was obviously never intended, so you'll just have to bear with it (hihi)
until pathfinding is implemented.

Edit: Btw, it took far longer than I had expected for this thread to emerge. :P

I understand this "solution". But i was shocked about how i got as much exp as i'd get from a deer..
At least make it worth the effort and make it more than the usual weaker animals..
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
