Horrible Lag/Connectivity

Postby Dashnova » Thu Feb 11, 2010 11:22 pm

Ok, so ive been able to put up with the IMMENSE lag ive been having every so often ever since ive started playing, but now its just getting on my nerves. Its quite frustrating to be rubberband back to some rat i got stuck along my travels or simply rubberbanding back every few seconds when my character takes as little as one step. Its so dang inconsistent too, It'll be fine for like 5 mins then it goes horribly slow then back to fine for another 5 minutes.

Now i've looked through the forums to find a solution, but none seem to help (for long). Ive reinstalled Java and updated everything on my computer. I know its not my connection to the internet, where as i can play Guild Wars with no fuss and its not my graphics card cause I can play Crysis with not a single problem. Its not just happening to me, but my friend as well. I dont know if its cause that the server and my location are practically on the opposite sides of the world. Any advice you could give about how to deal with the lag would be most appreciated.

What Sabinati was trying to say is that the lag problem is on the server end and there is little to nothing you can do to get it to behave, other than logging on when the number of people on line drops below 180 or 200. The devs are working to figure this out, fix it and upgrade or repair whatever needs upgrading or repairing. We're all in the process of waiting for the happy day they get it all solved. With luck it will be soon... a week? Two weeks? Nobody knows for sure and that's just my possibly optimistic guess. There is a whole thread devoted to this under the heading of Server Status.
