Safe Zone

I really hate the idea of a safe zone in any game, however I really think there should be a dev created marketplace. Almost all games have at least one place where the community can go to trade or sell goods. Thoughts? Ideas? :ugeek:

Well yeah, duh, you'd think if anyone was going to develope an economy/vending system (but also wanting silly grief murderers in the same game) they'd have somewhere where people could actually do it without conflict...lol The two systems just don't work in the same game without somewhere safe. But, sometimes ya just have to shrug and bow to the absurd.

A place for dueling combat only maybe.... could possibly lead into a ladder system with pvp ranks :? just a thought people

I think the devs are playing god. In other words they are leaving it in our hands.

Exactly, this is sandbox, if you want a safe zone, the closest you can get is making a "market place" and get some bouncers.

Making a safe zone like described would be a good project for the new world.

a safe zone maibe is handy, but break the Idea of the game. I didn't really understood what the hell dev thinks of this game, but the only thing sure is that "The Safety-The Dead-The War Or Peace" is all in our hands.

So i disagree the "safety place", but, wait, i DON'T disagree a Travel on a public Market.

"Travel" button, is ugly. We know, dev don't wanna keep it more. Well, i suggest this:

Crossroads will become the most important "travel" items. You can build your crossroad in your village or OUT your village (please, leave the need of the village claim to build a sign near a road O.o).
When you build a crossorad, you don't have any friend signs...but you can buy a public sign called "Market" and that sign is the same for everyone. It travel you to the Public Market, a place with walls and shops where everyone can go and..occasionally get killed, sadly. Anyway you could run with a fast travel to your fire, or vilage. (Let travel to village like is now, to let us some time to live a real life XD)

The market, of course, exist in the world, but simply you can buy the travel sign for default, when you build a crossroad.

Centralized market is a cancer on the game's economy. We need multiple markets in different regions, and dedicated merchants sailing ships or driving caravans between them.

If we depend on a market put in by the Devs, then no one will go seeking villages to trade with, and no one will socialise as much, making them all more independent and a lot less fun for the people who could earn something from the trades.
