Clayshire being robbed by alts

Postby Denvon » Wed Jun 17, 2009 10:02 am

Indeed, the subject says it all. Knight of Korne, who was Jackie Chan by rumor, was stealing from random settlements and was caught by me along with another fellow. We finally tracked him down and killed him before he managed to log out, but he simply made an alt and returned to the Clayshire (which he had earlier gotten HELP from). Hiding behind a cabin, we found him using the scent of theft. A brief conversation led to him promising to rob us for what we had done to his character. And due to the lack of any real protection against ALT thieves, there's nothing we can do about it. Well there is, and we've done it, but it's left our town empty. We have all of our stuff but none of it is easily accessible.

This is really becoming a problem. With the criminal/justice update thieves are beginning to take unfair(?) measures by spamming alts. There is NOTHING you can do about this, at all! What are we supposed to do, not sleep 24/7 to make sure our things are safe on the surface? Stand near a cabin all day hoping the person will walk out from behind it so you can kill him? They'll just return with an alt. They're griefers.

So now we're going to have everything we own locked away until the devs do something about this alt abuse/perma cabin hiding problem. If we don't we'll get robbed. Help? Is help even possible at this point?

All citizens of Clayshire who have not yet been notified of the lockdown, contact us through private messages.
Until then, your orders are to stand down, no offensive measures should be taken unless thievery and criminal conduct are proven beyond a doubt.

Once you have entered protected grounds, everyone capable of tracking should search for any signs of foul play, and destroy their source. Equipment will be granted upon request, if possible. All restrictive measures are hereby rescinded. As always, try and keep civilian casualties to a minimum, but if that is not a possibility, extreme force is authorized. Avoid tracking those without hearthfires.

Find the target, scope the target, fire between the heartbeats.
Standby for further orders.

That is all.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

There is a lock down? I will remember so I don't accidentally wander though and get snipped by a ranger guard. I used to use clayshire as part of my main travel highway. Good for cart transport and in the like.
