death through bear

Well, okay.
I got killed by a bear.
It is normal, that the bear keeps attacking you till you are death?
I couldnt even teleport back to my Hearthfire.
Dropped from 39 to 0 HHP ;(

I know, wayne, i have to start from the scratch, but its so unfair

hmm well it depends, did the bear have anywhere to move? whenever i am attacked by a bear, i run into an open area. that way, when i got knocked out, there would be a greater chance of him being able to walk away. if you ran into a closed area, they bear may get stuck and stay around you. animals have a certain amount of time before they re-target and try to attack. this is why if you shoot something from a boat, then get out, they sometimes wont run over to you for several seconds. if he re-targets just as you become consious then you wont have any time. however if he had just done one recently, then you can run for a couple of seconds before he will try to attack again or teleport.

Alternatively you can log off when you are knocked out and re log back in at your hearthfire.

bears hit you untill you stop moving. so stay on the ground and dont click anything that might cause you to stand up and it usually leaves you alone after a bit. I usually log out to prevent me from doing anything by accident. after 10 minutes i chack i my furry friend is still there and if so try to run like mad

This doesn't work. I had a bear KO me again while I was lying on the ground 2nd world.
