Would anyone be interested in sparring competitions?

I'm not interested in fighting myself but I could put up a purse to be won if players want to win prizes.

I envisage something like this:

Two division of fighter: Novice and Intermediate: Player name must be same as forum name in order to verify player start date: if you started between the map rest to the 31 of March you are intermediate. If you started in April you are novice. Storm of Swowds or any combat move known to kill is prohibited and a kill eliminates you from play permanently. Armour is also prohibited to prevent use of high q armor making competitors invulnerable, so you fight naked, in nettle or in linen. Winner in each division earns a bar of steel provided by me. If there is only one competitor in either division he/she wins by default but stays in division. Winner is promoted to next higher division for all future competitions.

Warning: The game is NOT guaranteed to be other than rigged but anyone getting caught is prohibited from this and future competitions. I dunno how people cheat, but I am sure they probably do. I don't and won't.

Spectators and small trades are encouraged. E.g. bring your spare seeds and see if you can find a buyer. If any bookie wants to come and fleece the spectators they are welcome. If any restaurateur wants to come and sell beer, cake, low q stringy taproot etc, they are also welcome.

The area would be far North-West.

If you are interested let me know here and if I get several positive replies I will set up a paved fighting field and commission the steel.

Are weapons allowed or is it unarmed only? If weapons are allowed you might want to make some uniform quality leather armor/pants/boots for each person fighting to wear or else valorous strike and cleave are going to one shot everyone.
