Do carts disappear after crashes?

I know anything you are lifting disappears, but do carts and plows?

I had a plow disappear before but carts aren't liftable so I believe not. The only way actually if the game had a rollback which reverts the cart to an original position before the point of rollback.

I make it a point to not put things like map pages and other difficult to replace things in my boat hold (even before I lost a boat to a rollback).
