I'm thinking there might be some recent activity (might be the owner, might not be) because that hemp isn't harvestable yet.

or some random newb came by, harvested it thanking his deity of choise, and replanted what he took cause he thought the person living there was attacked and thats why where was a hole

that explains the hemp and being abandoned explains the rest, though i got as much evidence to back me up as anyone else:P

Decay is also completely random, so it's entirely possible the cupboard just got lucky. More probable than someone letting their camp get to that advanced stage of decay, too.

Yup. Had a cupboard survive like a fucking champ for about a week of me using it, and who knows how long to the previous owners before taking a bite.. With all my stuff in it.
