How many hits did you take and what's your unarmed at? I haven't hunted bears in awhile since there's a lot of meat already stored up here.

I do relatively little damage per hit, but in total it did a total of 180 damage to me (including the enraged hits)

My stats are classified to all but my friends, but it took me about 30 swings

now that I think about it melee combat isn't too bad, you hit really fast and thus get a lot of initiative points making it easy to keep combat balance in your favour and use a lot of skills.

yea.. melee combat[sword+shield] > unarmed > axe > ranged.

Holy poo-poo that's a lot of initiative, how'd you manage to store all that? Everytime I try punching anything I usually end up hitting and gaining no initiative.
