Trolls regenerate - How to kill them

Following the D&D logic cut them, then cauterize the wound with acid or fire so they cant regenerate. They are very weak against fire and acid.

However, since it is an absolute crime to just pour acid on trolls or burninate them, Best to just starve them.. That's right, trolls feed on the attention of others, they are sad pathetic creatures that need to be the center of attention. So deal with them with a solid axe in the game, then on the forums, Ignore them.

I applaud your efforts to end the endless, but I'm afraid your logic will fall on deaf ears.
Just like how trolls regenerate, most trollbait regenerate as well; they just HAVE to try returning a witty comment or they will die.

I have been posting on message boards and BBS's for god knows how long. Never once have I seen an established troll leave due to being ignored.

I have, however, seen a few leave after being totally embarrassed.

So while "not feeding them" might work in theory, in reality, as someone already said, there will always be "troll bait" and that does not work.
