Fare thee well

Postby Dataslycer » Mon Apr 26, 2010 5:30 am

As people probably had figured out from reading in Congress on Prontera, I am leaving the game. It is not particularly because I was killed. It is more because this form of environment does not suit me at all. A game that causes much stress is not something I wish to play. Still there are some enjoyable times I had in here. First thing, I enjoy helping others especially if they are new. Although I am not overly generous to the point that they become reliant, I do help show the right way. I also made several wiki posts and adjustment and a combat guide which I hope will help people. Finally I was able to avenge the death of those in Eyrie, Ravenholm, and the Tricities which should help make things a bit calmer for others.

Civil-wise I am a farmer, a cook, and someone that was taking charge of Prontera due to the extended absence and possible retirement of our Lawspeaker. through exerpiment I was able to come with a nice little farm layout that I will release in public as a final gift. Enjoy. (http://i44.tinypic.com/20jqscn.jpg). The Lawspeaker that was in Prontera was not active so I took for myself to regive life back and it was mostly successful. I also had some plans to extend the interest of the game for the citizens as well such as skits, terraforming project and humorous designs (Kajeko's Dracula's Life, Boot to the Head Tae Kwon Leep, Scavenger Hunt).

Unfortunately one of my biggest weakness as naivety, I cannot detect the ill intent of those that seems to wish to befriend and I cannot prevent myself from getting stabbed in the back well which turns to be my downfall here. A death that I had nothing to do with ended up coming back to me in tainted karma killing me and Astrocity (whom had nothing to do with the drama). If you want to know what happened, read the post on Congress since I do not wish to re-iterate that event. Hopefully someone that is wiser, stronger, and more determine will take over what I started.

My thanks goes to Peripheral, Morgant, Darkren, Elise, Jigglypuff, Astrocity, Gerant (sorry I cannot remember how to spell your name), Rob. They are a community when I took refuge after several consecutive griefing in 4 days straight and have been supportive to the end. Also thanks goes to a few of those I have helped out, gummi, Tinseltown, Ravenholm. You are the people that I consider worth the game to help.

May the Hearth be with you.

I'll miss you, but I do understand why you're leaving. Thanks for keeping Prontera alive, and I'll think of you every time I kill a griefer or help out a newbie. Good luck with life, bro :)

Unfortunately, a very important factor in this game.

Anyway, best wishes.

Peripheral, please grant me this favor. Take whoever in Prontera that is still around and give the city life as I did, if this is not possible, give them a life in a place where they will be safe from my fate. My death should not be the end for you guys but only a lesson to be learnt.

I just wanted to say thanks--I haven't tried those combat skills you taught me on anyone yet (thankfully!), but the mulberry tree you helped me with is feeding lots of little silkworms. You're definitely one of my favorite people in the game. Take care!
