Could someone tell me where I am?

All I have is this map to go by, and I'm hoping someone can help me orient myself relative to the rest of the world.

Though I seem to have neighbours, they're all pretty inactive, so I'd like to move somewhere a bit more lively, where I can help out in a village, or some such.

I have a character in that grid as well, was happy when I found a runestone with a link to that map on it so that I could tell where I was. I tried to find where my main character is by kinning a friend of my main, but with little success.
