Rampant theories about server crashes

On IRC, everytime the server crashes there's someone yelling DAMN I WAS TAMING COWS/SHEEP. Could be a coincidence, ofcourse, but still it is weird.

I think that I may have caused today's crash. I was taming mouflons (group tame, 6 of them at once). Everything went smooth as long as the herd stayed together. I got bored though and wanted to show my 2 soon-to-be sheep to the rest of the village (leaving herd area, ? symbol for maybe 30 secs, deaggro coming soon). No lag, no indication of any serverside problems. Then, the moment before getting deaggro - I can only guess so, but the ?s had been shown for rather long - the server crashed.

@Loftar: can you/do you usually retrieve logs of the exact causes of a breakdown? There MIGHT be something broken with the taming AI which in turn breaks the whole server, it could be worth a checkup imho.

Unlikely. Coz I tamed a cow yesterday by removing it from the herd and sticking it in a pen while waiting for it to re-aggro. Somehow I doubt that you single handedly crashed the entire server. but narscism never killed anyone important so feel free to believe what you want.

On the otherhand, I happened to be carrying a valuable metal plow which will no doubt have disappeared when the server reboots. I am more annoyed about that. Why can't it choose a more convinient time to crash

There used to be a nice bug early this map where if you had more than 2 people chasing a bear that had started running the server would crash.

I think the record was 3 times in a row it was pretty neat.

I did this maneuver a lot of times before without crashing. I'm not saying that by executing the exploit, you automatically crash the server. Only that you might invoke some broken part of AI, just like with the bears.

P.S. I just happen to have a spare metal plow (incase it is still there and not rolled back).
