Mordor!

It still exists! Even with all the idols, alt hearthfires, and empty cabins!

Tough level 10 bear is tough.

I found Milaha's place too, it's pretty nice considering it was built before all the updates. It's even got its own mine.

You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Aye, it does. Nothing quite like having Level X foxes not far off your doorstep. I think I'm starting to get a taste of what it was like in Bottleneck before the civ census stuff.

I should also remark I saw my first bear in ages. Took him down, too, so I'm quite satisfied with my new setup.

Oh, it was okay, save for the fact that you had to run behind a fence every once in a while. I've gotten quite adept at dodging foxes over the time. =)

I'm waiting for the map reset so that I can experience such a rush once again.

Level X bears still hurt me when they go berserk :(

Level X foxes are cute and cuddly. Nothing a rolled up newspaper wont fix :P

Errol if you want a rush start pvping.

Its why people idealize old OSI UO, due to the fact theres adrenaline involved since its all or nothing. This is far more balls in than old UO so pvp will be a larger rush.

Am I missing something about the PvP? The combat system does not lead me to believe that it is that appealing.

...i don't know what you concider appealing.. but combat is similar to glass-cannon melee combat or throwing dirt in each others face if you use marksmanship..

Ie.. melee combat tends to be very high damage [unless you have hundreds of stat points in str and const] so battles rarely last more then one minute.
if you like combat thats incredibly fast paced and where luck is a significant factor, then sure.. pvp melee combat is for you.

Marksmanship is a bit of a joke in combat though. Unless your shooting someone with low hp and no armor its pretty useless.

Ranged damage is supposedly linked to perception, much like strength is linked to melee damage. It hasn't been implemented yet, so bows only deal a set amount of damage based on bow type and arrow type.

Archery is a joke, So the admins decided to implement a new feature for those on the go types who don't want to stop hunting just because they have a full packpack.

zomg someone found me. As some may have noticed I have been absent for a while, got interested in some other games. I logged in today after reading the wealth of improvements. I am not sure if I am back full time yet, but I plan to redo my gheto-fence as a wall at the very least, we will see from there.

EDIT: Wall would take some dedication (or the clear cutting of my pristine forest), doing fence for now. We shal see how my motivation stays hehe.
