loom repair warning....

Postby Zirikana » Fri May 14, 2010 7:25 am

OK, veterans will hopefully laugh at this, and nooblets will hopefully learn something....

I was working with silk. I was about to weave some threads into cloth. Lo and behold, the loom needed repairing. "Well," says I, with a backpack full of hard earned silk threads, "let's just hit 'repair' and look for the red text in the bottom-left to tell me what it needs for repairing, be it boards, or sticks, or threads ... (click) (click) .... MOTHER OF GOD NOOOO!!!!!"

And let that be a lesson to you.

I humbly bow and walk away.

Yeah, that stinks that it can be used! Good thing I saw other posts saying this, so I always make sure to put them in a container =]

At least your warning serves to save the silk of others. ._.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

You didn't find it kind of strange that not only was there no red text, but that the orange hour glass came up for several seconds while absolutely nothing else happened?

If you got spare room, take it inside then it won't break. Since it's liftable.

Lol, well, every time I build a house or cabin to be my "silk house", it ends up getting jammed full of cupboards and cheese making apparatus, etc., so that big clunky loom winds up sitting outside still. Kinda like that 1970 Buick GS that you built an extension onto the garage for so you could "keep it inside until you restore it".... and now you have an even bigger garage full of even more crap, and an old Buick still sitting out back....
