Does anyone feel like setting up a wiki for those that are less than fortunate enough to have a thorough understanding of game mechanics?

So far, the game's been pretty newbie-unfriendly, especially since most skilled players are extremely suspicious and decided to lock themselves away from the rest of the world(Which is totally justified, but still.). Plus, it'd be nice to have a project the community can work on together.

On a side note: Any chance of restocking the "newbie area" around the Ring of Brodgar? It's practically just a wasteland of baskets and abandoned camps.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

I offered to help populate one if someone else hosted it. The dev's won't host anything official as they prefer to keep it exploration like. My offer still stands for unofficial wiki

I suppose we could plant a bunch of trees, but the basket problem is just going to exist until deconstruction/entropy is implemented. There's really no other good solution for it

I have some web space we could host it on if need be. I am looking in to how to set one up now.

On second thought... The baskets could be removed via pain staking exploitation of the logout-while-holding bug... The area could also be maintained fairly well if a number of highly skilled and frequently online players were to build and maintain a village AT the ring.

I believe villages don't prevent players from moving, and a few well placed rune stones and carefully left non-authority spots would allow for things like harvesting of branches and apples...

I'm not going to leave lake town for it, but if you want to start a nicer society then that'd probably be a good way to do it

I disagree with a guide, but as long as there's no quest system something like that almost sounds nessessary to help newbies a bit.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

If you search for haven and hearth wiki you find http://havenandhearth.wikia.com/
Completly blank... But someone made it?
You could just edit it and add whatever you want.
I Think moving faq type things to a wiki is fine and good, but i think stuff like mysterious green-haired forest creatures should be left out.

Is there an admin on that site? I don't want to edit something that could get vandalized by morons posting goatse, CP, and other sauce.

Wait so, are you going to use the ugleh wikia filled with ads? If so tell me now so I don't go installing a Mediawiki on my web space.
