Noob In Need of Help!

"Given that the bow and arrows have IEMM 2.0, if you have marksmanship 35, a q70 bow (i.e. effective marksmanship 140) and q 45 arrows (i.e. EM 90), you will aim with an effective skill of 35. If you have marksmanship 35, arrows Q 7 (i.e. EM 14) and a bow of Q 34 (i.e. EM 68), you will have an effective marksmanship skill of 14. The higher your marksmanship, the easier it is to aim. To put it in words, the equipment often supports you into higher ranges of Marksmanship than it has quality."

I feel like a failure for not being able to wrap my head around this. I understand 70 requiring 140 marksmanship and the 45q arrows needing 90. What i dont get is how you determine the effective marksmanship skill? For example "if you have marksmanship 35, a q70 bow (i.e. effective marksmanship 140) and q 45 arrows (i.e. EM 90), you will aim with an effective skill of 35."

Also, How do you determine the weapon Q when crafting it?

The lowest effective marksmanship is the limiter. If I have 500MM but only a quality 5 sling I am limited to an aiming speed as if I only had 10 MM. Therefore it can be wise to limit your MM skill level to something not much higher than double whatever equipment you are likely to see in the near future. With bows this speed is also limited by 2x the quality of the arrow. Slings are never limited by the quality of their stones.

Bows are generally not worth it. Against animals there are few times when you would prefer higher damage output at the expense of speed. For pvp try using a rangers bow instead.

I use a quality 130 sling and am far more powerful with it than using a bow of similar quality most times against animals. Howevere I do 0 damage to most ppl with armour on.
