Today i logged in and my whole pen was smashed down. No cattle nor sheep and many traces os traspassing and vandalism etc. Should I go get the thieves? Im actually worried that they will be stronger than me and eat me

Wait till they're offline, go build a ram by their walls. If you're very lucky, they won't spot it in time. Then just ram their walls and summon them.

And yes, you should always try to retaliate. Not retaliating marks you as an easy target, which increases the chance of a repeat visit by thieves.
