Have you found any good bands you'd like to spread the word about? I listen mostly to riott, grunge, shoegaze and traditional metal. But also alot of Techno ect. So if you'd like to spread the word about a great group people may not know of post 'em so I can check 'em out. Here's my current buzz.

Hole - "Nobody's Daughter", the new album just kicks all kind of mosnter ass.
Silversun Pickups - "Swoon" , Found this band and went ape over them, this album just doens't let up from start to finish.
Blood Red Shoes - "Fire Like This" and "Box of Secrets". Both of these albums from this UK punk grunge duo is like candy so go eat some...lol
Also check out, Nine Black Alps, Cruel Black Dove, Bitch Alert, and Juliette Lewis and The Licks.

Anynone else have any indy or not widely known treasures they would like to give a buzz for?

You might want to have a look at this thread: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7698

Of course there is lots of well known stuff in there, but some pearls can be found in between. I for myself am very into unknown indie-pop and rock, preferably with some electronic influence. Couple of years back I would only listen to bands that nobody else knew, once they became famous I told myself the music had become worse with the fame. Of course realizing at some point this was bullshit (although in some cases it might be true). Juliette and the Licks are pretty cool, you might want to try Florence and the machine (although it is not that similar, maybe just the names reminded me of eachother ^^). As mentioned in the other thread also a big fan of The Divine Comedy, Arcade Fire, Final Fantasy(again: not the game), Bright Eyes or The Decembrists.

I agree, seems I have often found my "fav" lineup, from indy groups, by word of mouth. I think a few have made success and yet still held true, but as you say, not many. Seems alot "lose it" when eaten by the corperate machine. What is then spit out is not quite as appetizing as the cake was before they ate it..lol That Florence was pretty cool, like a mix of Fiona Apple and Kate Bush..pretty appealing sound they have. Final Fantasy, Decembrists and Bright Eyes grabbed my attention as well, good additions to my Etheral spacey mood selections...lol Though my main tastes are a bit heavier than yours it seems, I have such a wide range I'm always starving for groups to fill the different genre's I like. Up till these I only had Sarah McG and Kate Bush for this type of sound. I've begun downloading some stuff from the groups mentioned. Considering your sound here, you may could check out Silversun Pickups, they are a bit heavier but very indy and experimental.

As to the other thread, yeah I knew it was there regarding people's favs. This was more of a "who do you want to promote that most may not have heard of" question.
