I hope this game expands and develops into something bigger in time. If the chance to sell this project to some known f2p developers comes, don't. They screw up all good games and the real good ones are Indie ones

Only problem is, those big name developers know exactly what to do with a game to earn money... The more popular a game becomes, the more it costs to run. I hope you two have some good business sense to go along with your awesome development, because I'd love to see this game evolve under your guidance into something big.

those big name developers know what to do to get us to pay, so they can put 9bucks in their pocket and spend the 10th on the game. oh and often what gets us to pay is the same thing that focuses more on making us ocd addicted rather then actually enjoy the game. so no thank you.

completely agree, and if a little money would solve bandwidth or power problems why not get some?
donations are fine but i doubt its a money flow you can count on
there is another thread on moneymaking though, and i bet a lot of discreet ways (like easy forum adv) are mentioned there

Big developers only know how to earn more cash for their greedy asses and fuck up the game to its limits. Their way of thinking is fucked up. And yeah, new servers or better bandwitch now would be a huge pro for this game. I think you should highlight that Donate button more and even put some logo when logging into the game to donate. This has all of its potential. I know that one of the bittorrent tracker I am visiting(it is not one of those famous ones, but a local one, pretty small) is living only through donations. People donate through the whole month and in the end site owner can pay for all the server costs and whatnot. So yeah. Something like that.
I will even support the p2p idea if it helps you to improve the game a lot more. Something like 5$ a month is completely acceptable.
And don't you dare to parnter with Facebook while you don't get better servers

I hate that I have to say this, considering I love the game so far, but I could never keep playing if it were to become p2p.... I just don't have any kind of income, and if I did, even $5 a month is something I could spend elsewhere.

Oh the wonders of living in ~%20 unemployment.
