The perfect crime...

Postby KoE » Thu Jul 16, 2009 3:01 pm

Now for something completely different.

For the backstory, I erected a wall around my hermitage - primarily because I had a lot of spare wrought and brick walls are shiny - and logged out last night without thinking to extend my claim to catch the whole wall. I log in to find this today.

Image

As near as I can figure, someone knocked down my wall*, and made off with a few of the boulders from my cellar (hiding them about the forest, according to the hunters also pictured - I confirmed one hidden behind a nearby tree myself). Naturally, apart from the scary nature of someone with a crapton of strength doing this on a lark, it's absolutely hilarious. For the DF players, something akin to a kobold making off with the dirty laundry from the latest siege.

*This could just be a really strange / uncanny decay thing... Maybe. But those rocks definitely didn't walk off on their lonesome.

If whoever did it wants to step forward, that's nice. Otherwise I might should alert jorb and loftar to possible decay shenanigans, however unlikely it might be. Otherwise, hopefully it's a fun bit of humor to detract from all the recent foram drama.

i doubt it was a decay problem. Probly just someone really strong wanted to have some fun.
I don't know how many people have the over 100str required to do it.. really 150str+ if they did it without bringing a metric ton of tea...
Maybe they just want to send a message like "this brickwall does not protect you from me".

Woot! I am pictured!
I found the fugitive boulders, as well. It is my decided opinion that they escaped by themselves, tired of being chipped away at by their "master".

Edit--or, it was Raeph

Well, that explains it. They come from cellars, so I'm sure if you ever need a whole pet rock family you should be able to find people willing to give them away.
