Well, as the forums seem to be filled with hostility's lately in this section, im just gonna post something not about goons, JTG, or mass murder.

I am going to tell the story, of how my journey here started.


When i first arrived, made my character, and spawned at the RoB. unfortunately i could not see this "Ring of Brodgar" because my view was obscured by Loading.... After a while of waiting, I was about to give up before I noticed a small chat screen labelled TheTrav (I assumed this to be a global chat or something.) where I was asked if I was new. Yes I answered, and I informed him of my blindness. He told me it was a problem regarding some routers. Therefore I turned down my routers security settings, and my sight was restored.
TheTrav(I now learned that this was actually a private chat with a player called TheTrav) got me started with the branch from tree picking method. After a while I got the basics and TheTrav had to go offline. After some time spent alone, I met someone called Kaka, who told me that the starting area, was actually quite damaged. I wasnt aware of this, because I had never seen an well maintained area.
So I packed some food, and left for the north (intending to find bottleneck, wrong way. oops.) I eventually found a dwarven outpost, and settled down for a day or so.
I built a cabin, made some wheat, and learned a lot, but the outpost proved abandoned. So I asked for directions to bottleneck on the forums. I got a quick reply and left for bottleneck. when I arrived nobody was online, so I thought I would go build a cabin in the forest to the south. As I was about to finish, somone came and told me it wasn't a good idea to settle in the forest, as it prevents creatures from spawning. He told me someone called Goran would point me to a more suitable location, and that's where i have been residing ever since.
