All the cool kids

Are viewing this right now. You know you found a great game when you modify system files just to view the forums while you wait.

EDIT: On a related note, hats off to the devs, given the relatively incomplete state of the game (and the massive population boom) the servers are still relatively stable. Especially given the load we must be putting on that poor little gheto machine :-).

Hehe indeed. Now if only they'd put the game server back up for us... :P Haven't they had enough stress testing? A more stable machine is desirable.
i guess they never miss huh

Must be some new definition of cool that I'm unaware of... wait a second I must have changed my system files too ;).

Hopefully we will be seeing the whole thing set up a new server in the near(lets hope) future:

It's a bit sad to retire the trusty old Pentium II, but we'll make a museum out of it. I will probably not be able to do the switch anytime really soon, though, so I hope the current one will stand a few days more, at least.

Is there a way to see how many players are logged into the game?

Nope, players are not supposed to know much about the world unless they explore it themselves.

I'm planning to fix that particular thing, though. The number of players logged in is just a fun statistics, and once I figure out a good way to extract the info from the game server to the web page, I'll put up a li'l widget on the front page.

Awesome. I'm not interested in knowing their location or anything, just random statistic on the number of players in the game. I find it interesting the machine this server is running without choking... I'd also like to know what kind of internet bandwidth it has...

I actually agree with Kaka. :)
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Hehe, it is choking quite a bit though, as you've probably noticed. :) We'll probably replace it tonight.

The internet connection is the one good thing, though. Jorb has a 10/10 Mbps connection. The only complaint I have about it is that he doesn't have a static IP address, and that's why I'm using my own server to host the DNS.
