The City of Brodgar is finally open!



The City of Brodgar is a governmentless place which gathers players from all over the game into a singular living space. Players are able to settle within the city with their personal claims for free where there is space yet unclaimed.

The city itself is situated on top of a centrally-located island with plenty of living space for everyone.

List of nearest thingwalls:
Norwold - just west-southwest of Brodgar, the closest one
Gunmere - southeast of Brodgar, second closest one
Thyfjord - west of Brodgar in the middle of the ocean on a tiny island. Not your best bet if you don't own a Snekkja or Knarr
Norsand - north-northwest of Brodgar - okay-ish access via regular water, still requires some walking time

You enter the local inn for what seems to be the hundredth time. But this time around it's different. Everyone's excited, hushed voices echoing along the inn's main chamber.

You walk up to the bartender and ask for a mug of beer.

So what's the atmosphere about? - you ask with noticeable curiosity in your voice.

There's been some talks about Brodgar reopening, but I can't believe it. Some nonsense, I tell you - the bartender quickly tells you.

I guess we'll have to see - you counter the disbelief of the bartender.

You look around. The inn is in rough shape, clearly not upkept too recently. You spot a hooded gentleman in a green cape.

Could it be? - you ask yourself, clearly surprised - Then it is true. He's back. That must mean something...

And so the story begins anew. What you make of it is up to you, Hearthling.

I tried looking for a good place that wouldn't be blocked by rivers and lakes and still be in the center of the world (roughly). This was my best pick

It is everything and nothing at the same time. This city is a place for players to congregate and do activities together. Place a pclaim anywhere you want and LARP. You can also trade, of course - you'd just have to construct all of the trading equipment yourself.
