It would certainly be interesting. Unfortunately I think the majority of the playerbase would be opposed to the idea, and it would lead to a very weird world balance with industries blocked by winter lagging behind significantly.

Indeed, last world reset stream were announced at Feb 17. At Feb 23(24) on this stream new world were announced to Mar 6.
We're 1 day out of plan, wtf guys?
