I don't buy anything on that "W" anymore. I am waiting for a new world with my shopping. I hope I won't have to wait long    Maybe we'll see some news this month

Obviously its not.
If it was, why would devs have postponed it? They could've still posted it and just postponed the date.

Its something else, like walking on top of towers, new dungeon or something other cool, but relatively meaningless.

I like this idea a lot. Add a new ring around the existing world periodically and spawn all noobs there

They used to expand worlds like this all the time, but I don't think they ever changed spawn to be in this area.
It's sort of less of a relevant idea these days since there are so many less relevant resources that get claimed.

The current world in no way needs a new ring around it because even at the absolute peek of daily players and activity there were massive amounts of the world that were untouched, the entire west, most of the east and south, etc.

Ah. I see. If you open a new section, and have newbs spawn on it, that would only work if people are "good".

But bad people would spawn their bots there, and tie up the resources.

Prevent resources from being claimed like someone said
Or spawn aggressive creatures around the resources so bots don't camp and harvest them as soon as they respawn

A growing world will need a way to ensure consistency (transitions) around the seams between new and old grids. Depending on the generator, it may prove more or less difficult.

Also, the number of active players usually gets lower the longer a world lasts. Gradually increasing the size means even more area per active player, which will still remain unused as long as they have already settled villages.

A better "treatment" could be randomizing the spawn location for each player, so that in the long term, players may have a better chance to meet or not - depending on their playstyle - and the world may be more evenly populated.

Clearly the Zone should get smaller over time (with hearthlings outside the Zone gradually taking massive damage).
