I don't think a handful of early quitters can convince jorb and loftar to give up control of the server reset. I don't see big enough numbers being offered here for that to happen.

Things that Jorb&Loftar should do before reset:

Client Rendering Rewrite: it should be done when world is full of objects and still decent enough amount of players so that all the bugs can be smoothed and not run into them in fresh world.

Satiation rework: satiations aren't in that awful of a spot but foods satiate completely unrelated foods and if you don't have easy access to all four drinks to help reset them, you can be stuck with being practically unable to gain FEPs from such staples as meat or bread.

Things that would be great before reset:

Object-Controlled Objects: Haven codebase equivalent of Holy Grail. This would allow players to walk on Docks, Tower Roofs and even on the long-requested Bridges.

you must be extremely selfish if you think they should reset the world simply because ( im bored and im too far in the back! reset world because me me me me!)
there are plenty of things that need testing before an actual world reset. good working mechanics > a new world

After the wipe I would love it if Jorb would release a map of realms. I'm curious to see just how large these kingdoms are.

They're likely going to roll out Rendering Rewrite first and let it run a while to catch any potential hiccups before resetting.

I'm going to take a stab and say they're going to do this, plus update the progression system so that it's not so... out of hand. Might even try to implement the "object controlled objects" first because THAT will also require a restart (I'm assuming).

I'm also guessing this is the case. But I personally wouldn't mind a reset with a shorter world length due to having to update for the Rendering Rewrite in the future. They could even make it some kind of event world with unique rules? Events can do a decent job of drawing people in.
