the whole point of this game IS raising stats denying this would mean you literally dont understand how this fucking game works.
there is no endgame nothing beside raising q and stats.

I hate to break it to you buddy but the whole point of this game is actually PvP and when that becomes stagnant and people like you take over then most players gtfo until server restart

the CORE MECHANIC is raising stats pvp is just an addition to make raising stats actual worth it to protect yourself. everything in the game is related to either raising q or raising your attributes. you want to see x forageable? raise your exp and perc.

you can FULLY play the game with out fighting once. you cant pvp with out raising your stats tho.

Yes, the game is all about pushing numbers, but that is a bad game design. And if you really want a game like that for some reason, Progress Quest does it so much better than H&H.

well I checked out Cryofall (new alpha survival sci-fi game) which is in many way similar to haven imho.

Stats don't mean much there, rather the tech advancement, but here's the problem.
A lot of people who reach all tech tiers and complete them in 100%, they just quit. They don't see much reason to fight over relatively small map and crushing your opponents in very easy way, if You win the rate race. Claims exist there in some shape and form but can be blown up. It comes with a price, but once You are on top and don't need resources for anything else than showing your dominance over noobs and competitiors who didn't make it...

And this is because there's nothing to push further or it doesn't matter.

Here, at least pushing numbers is motivated by competetive people pushing them as well so there's rivalry to be the one on top but not necessarly crushing your rivals right away if You just got a head-start. So yeah I think that this experience with Cryofall and it's community speak for itself.

TL:DR; Having artificial ceiling aka statcap or decay, might led people to quickly leave once their reach max level.

Cryofall isn't the first game where this is somewhat easy to observe
With bigger map in Cryofall maybe there would be some decent PvP but I doubt it atm

Counterpoint: Rust. People don't quit when they make tier 3 workbench and research AKs and rocket launchers. They do tend to quit towards end of wipe because you can't go solo against a zerg and zergs tend to dissolve when they lose their compound, but that's an issue unrelated to reaching the end of the tech tree. But there's a major advantage Rust has over Haven - it's PvP is actually heavily skill-based.

You can play Haven, but why would you want to? Nothing ever happens because base defences have to be OP to support infinite grind, and of the whopping 200 online players 180 are bots.

I have had quite enough of you. Banned for a month. Asked to be.
