Honestly, I would be quite happy would this just be my problem.
But that, as this topic clearly proves, sadly isn't the case...

Is it just me or didn't you understand the devs at all? They are never planning to do a wipe. They only ever wipe if an update demands them to. Ultimatly they want a world to run forever, but Granger's problem persists in such a world where people powerhouse to infinity because nothing is holding them back and you can never catch up from your own power. Maybe a system of caps (not only one) would solve this where it gets gradualy harder to hit it and after a random amount of time the caps are increased beginning the progress to it anew without wiping everyone's achivments. Players who only begin would be able to got pretty quick to say 3/5 the way to cap and struggel just like everyone else to hit the cap.
I wonder if anyone sees a problem with that idea.
I'm very much open to opinions since I was also strongly against a cap even though I never had or will have a character competing with the top fighters.

I must apologies. I merged this post here due to the nature of the discussion from C&I. I forgot to say anything at the time. I'm probably overreacting on the moderation front here, but given all the discussion on the matter recently, I thought it better to keep it to one place.
