I think you're wrong, new players, and I also do not want to play in a world full of ruins and abandoned sites

im not wrong, you, friends, new players, dont matter as you will leave after a month and world would be exact copy of previous world, having garbage claims and abandoned sites everywhere
wipe was never for the players, it was for new mechanics requiring reset or previous world errors

"never for players" - it's sad ... but maybe once they do it for players, because we love this game and will be glad to play in new world :)

Thing is, this guy isn't a "new player" (2012 registration). I'm guessing he's one of those that come around for 2-3 months and then quits when it hits the long climb up or someone else comes along and wrecks his base. The other thing is we have only had world 8 and 9 since then that were shorter than 2 years. I'm not judging anyone for that playstyle, as I know a lot of people like to play it "solo-ish." I frequently do myself. The difference is, I don't quit after the first few months of the world*, and I see all those ruins as fallen civilizations I get to scavenge to make my world just a little bit better.

I would wait until after the announcement, though. Jorb and loftar have both expressed some thoughts about the current state of the world if I recall the last couple of dev streams well enough, and neither seem to be satisfied with progression.

*I usually "quit" when I get tired of the pigs always emptying the food trough... and by "pigs," I mean lactating cows. I'll also note I frequently get bored at one location and just leave it all to restart elsewhere.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I was late for start this world and had no time to play in it, but i start over about a month ago and it was sad to play in abandonned world... i like to play until i get everithing what game can give to me, but now i can take everithing just go arount and take it fron ruined plots, it is not interesting...

So your complaint is that the devs implemented this not fully (as decay still only applies while maps are loaded), resulting in abandoned places not being cleaned up as fast as they would be in case they had been in an active area?

Whether you choose to scavenge or create arbitrary rules (such as only getting seeds from WWW, among others) is a choice you can make. There has certainly been the argument that certain decay mechanics just aren't fast enough. Others would like to know they can take a few weeks away from the game, and short of all their livestock dying (or killing them off so the lone breeding pair will live), have something to come back to. You can't please everyone in this regard, and players have to be able to come in and play the way they want.
