I would like to purchase one full barrel of vinegar, for about 6 cast iron bars, but the price is negotiable if you think that isn't enough.

Just as friendly advice, whether or not Colbear wants to trade, I agree with him, it seems like way, way, way too much to ask for vinegar.

If the price was high enough, my settlement would consider going through with a trade...

We'd want labor, though. Not metals. Cast iron is worth next to nothing in my eyes.

All I'm saying is that it takes me at most 5-10 trips to the mine to make six cast iron, and that 6 cast iron isn't all that much, to be honest and ALSO not enough to do too much with, but 100L of vinegar is WAY more than you'll ever need. Rennet (one batch of rennet making maybe 8 curds, I think?) costs only .3 liters to make one batch of. So 100L would be enough to make... over 300 batches of rennet, and over 1200 curds.

That's kind of a lot. I am thinking of selling vinegar in the near future -- I had some before from my town, decided that making 25L of vinegar was excessive, and then took out most of it so that now I'll only be making 5L or so, for personal use and/or giving to friends if they're working on cheese too.

I mean, if I said to you, "Offering a basket of boar meat for B12 Battleaxe, but it's negotiable if you don't think it's enough", would you take me seriously?

Ah, I forgot the map reset for a bit, hehe, I thought i'd get a life time suppy, but currently thats probaly just 3 bottles till the map reset .
Well, Ill just go shopping again a week or two after the reset then

Have you considered requesting a lifetime supply, and offering something similar? Something like "give me vinegar in sets of 10L, restocking me whenever I run out, and I'll give you 2CI/week" or something?

I might consider that, if I start making huge amounts of cheese after the map reset. (I probably will)
