Lake Flaccid trading thread (OP Updated: 12/2/09)

Because I am (to my knowledge) the only one settled on Lake Flaccid (or lake Downs Kitten or whatever the fuck you want to call it), I'm using this name to refer to my claim.


I'll cut the bullshit and go ahead and tell you what I need and/or want, and what I can give you for them.

EXPORTS (Basically just low quality produce) (MOST EXPORTS WILL BE IN SMALL QUANTITIES UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED)
-Carrots
-*Pumpkins
-*Beer
-*Wine
-Linen
-Various Fish (Q.12-ish)
-Clay (Q.31)

*= Currently not available

IMPORTS:
-Pickaxe. Any Quality.
-Metal saw. Anything >Q10
-Straw. Lots and lots of straw. Stone mansion ahoy!
-Metal. Any quality, preferably in bar from but will also take nuggets.
-Apples.
-Mulberries.
-Higher quality Stone Axe and Bone Saw (Current Quality: 10 and 11 respectively)
-MORE WHEAT SEEDS. I currently have 8 tiles of wheat growing, and beer is rather difficult to make without wheat.
-Sand\Raw Glass. Any Ql.
-Tin nuggets/Tankards
-Gauze or wool. My HHP has been raped by various animal encounters
-STR food

I know, I have barely anything to trade, and a long list of items I'd like. Beer and wine should be decent sellers though, right?

UPDATE:
Because of the lack of any hunting abilities and an increased workload (and not enough tea to go around), I/We are currently suffering from a lack of food. Food based exports are temporarily suspended until next harvest, when which I should hopefully be able to use my massive amount of pumpkin flesh to feed myself/everyone.

Updated the list, trimmed off the excess fluff I don't "need" at the moment. So now, I just want Flax/Hemp and Wheat. Grapes would be nice, though.

Right now it's me, a claim, a cabin, and some hops. I've got a nice plot of land though. just need to reposition myself so the palisade can be build easier.

Plenty of river access, so I can trade fairly easily.

Also, I need a name. I was thinking of "Fish town" in Croatian, but it sounded pretty similar to Novigrad.

How's Ribnjak? It means fish pond, and there's a neighbourhood in Zagreb that has that name, so it sounds plausible.

Alternatively, you can go with Ribarsko, which means Fisherman's (yeah, it seems weird, but there's plenty of towns here that have a noun-less adjective for their name).

You may also want to go with a specific fish as opposed to fish in general. Here's some fish in Croatian:
carp - sharan
catfish - som
pike - shtuka
trout - pastrmka
salmon - losos
bass - grgech
eel - jegulja
sturgeon - jesetra

Finally, you could replace the -grad part with voda, which simply means water and works well in compound words. That, or bara, which means pond. I guess you could also use jezero (lake), but I think that'd make the name too long (a decent workaround is to put a hyphen between it and the first word).
