I have to give him that I dont think the topic we discussed was stupid, but his attitude towards things and him insulting everyone who didn't share his opinion made the discussion worthless.

right, the topic was quite reasonable, but his arguments were just stupid statements, so he spoiled a discussion and made himself as person unbearable.

remember kids: an insult is not an argument! ;)
